Our History
Founded in 1990, Manx Automobile Assistance began as a small, family-run breakdown and recovery service, established by Tina and David Cole. Driven by a passion for helping motorists in need, the business was built on strong values of reliability, professionalism, and customer care.
In the early years, the company operated with a small fleet and a simple mission — to provide dependable roadside assistance to the Isle of Man community. Through hard work, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to high service standards, Manx Automobile Assistance quickly earned a trusted reputation across the island.
Over the decades, the business has continued to grow and evolve. Investment in modern recovery vehicles, specialist equipment, and highly trained staff has allowed the company to expand its services while maintaining the personal, local approach it was founded on.
Today, Manx Automobile Assistance operates a fleet of 19 vehicles and employs a dedicated team of 12 skilled staff, responding to over 4,000 breakdown and recoveries each year. Our growth reflects the trust placed in us by the local community — a responsibility we take seriously as we continue to serve the Isle of Man with the highest standards of care and professionalism.
I needed the services of M.A.A. last week when a warning light appeared on the dash. of my vehicle on the way to work.
They came promptly, and had me and my vehicle transported safely to my garage in Ramsey. The mechanic was courteous and knowledgeable.

Brilliant service from this company. Yamaha scooter, flat battery and no connection between fob and bike due to radio mast nearby.
